St Thomas' Church Public Gardens - New Benches
Stourbridge Business Improvement District (BID) has delivered a new community-focused project to enhance the public gardens at St Thomas Church on Market Street, benefiting residents, businesses and visitors to the town.
With the support of West Bromwich Building Society, which provided a £505 grant through its Stourbridge branch, three new wooden benches have been installed to replace existing seating that has deteriorated over time.
The gardens are a valued and well-used space in the town centre, regularly enjoyed by students, local workers, shoppers and visitors as a place to eat lunch, meet friends or take a break. By improving the seating, Stourbridge BID is helping to create a more welcoming and comfortable environment that encourages people to spend more time in the town centre supporting both community wellbeing and local businesses.
This project highlights Stourbridge BID’s ongoing commitment to investing in the town and enhancing shared spaces for everyone to enjoy, made possible through the support and partnership of West Bromwich Building Society. The funding was awarded via the Society’s Mercian Community Trust, which supports community initiatives across the West Midlands.
